

Every Child Deserves a Home
Since 2021, Oasis of Hope has been serving children in foster care across South Carolina. We serve non-therapeutic children of all ages and the foster families who go above and beyond for them. Together, we are a community of ambassadors for children who desperately need a home.

Why getting involved in foster care matters:

After being placed in five homes, there is a 90% chance that a child in foster care will be involved in the criminal justice system.

50% of unhoused people have spent time within the foster care system.

Around 20% of teens become unhoused immediately after leaving foster care.

27% of 17-year-olds in foster care have received substance abuse services.

How to Become a Foster Parent
Step 1
Visit heartfeltcalling.org and watch the orientation video.
Step 2
Complete the intake application and say you want to be licensed through Oasis of Hope.
Step 3
Once we receive your application, we will begin the application process (with LOTS of paperwork).
Step 4
Finish pre-service training and pass your fire inspection.
Step 5
A member of our staff will walk you through a Home Study, asking background questions and visiting your home.
Step 6
Once we receive your license, it's time to start fostering!
